Hey everyone!

Our wedding is in two days, and we’re so excited to host you. We want to make sure you have the details you need to coordinate your weekend.

There are three events: the brunch, the ceremony + rehearsal, the family dinner. If you need to come back to this information, you can also bookmark https://www.laurelhurstwedding.com/weekend.

IF YOU’RE ATTENDING THE BRUNCH

Brunch | 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Normandale House
704 NE 53rd Ave · Portland, OR 97213

Come on down anytime. All are welcome. Bring your kids! This is a backyard occasion, so you can come whenever you like, stay for as long as you like, and enjoy bagels from Spielman and pastries from Tabor Bread and fruit and all the things. Just come and be hung over with us and have a Corona. Doctors Stull will have IV drips available for all. (If only.)

We suggest parking along Normandale Park to ease the traffic along 53rd and Irving. The park offers ample parking along its borders (near the baseball fields), the walk through the pines is lovely, and it won’t take more than 10 minutes.

IF YOU’RE ATTENDING THE CEREMONY + RECEPTION

Ceremony | 3:00 p.m.
Laurelhurst Park Stairs
SE Ankeny between Floral and Laurelhurst Place

Cocktail Hour + Small Plates | Reception
5:00 - 6:00 p.m. + 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Firehouse
711 NE Dekum St
***childcare available at 5:30 p.m. on Firehouse’s second floor

There’s a 25% chance of rain. We could get wet. Plan accordingly.

We’ll be at the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, to be precise, where Rachel envisions us being encircled by community. The ceremony starts at 3:00 p.m., but we’d like it if you arrive early so our photographer can capture you á la mode, in your natural environs. Not that there’s a dress code: semi-formal? Dress in what makes you comfortable. If you can make it 10 minutes early, we get to remember your beautiful faces in their purest form.

We have our photographer for 90 minutes, and we’d like to capture photos after the ceremony, too. Once our union is complete, we’ll take a group photo, then we’ll let you peel off while we take family photos. Stick around for a minute so we can coordinate.

We’ll probably be done around 3:45 p.m. Since our reception officially starts at 5:00, here are a few fun things to do in the meantime:

  • Honestly, just walk around Laurelhurst, it’s nice.

  • Share a sundae with a friend (or two, or three) at Cheese & Crack. Rachel worked here for a while! The sundaes are legit, you can’t go wrong with the OG, but definitely share and save some space for dinner and drinks.

  • Browse the records at Music Millennium. Rachel bought a new record every month this year from MM.

  • Pick yourself up at Never Coffee. Creative lattes abound. This was one of Jonathan’s 2020 haunts when he lived with his sister.

  • Get down at Belmont Station. No significance here, just beer.
